Horizon Starry® and KKClaw™ OS: New Era of Integrated Vehicle Intelligence

2026/07/30

Horizon Robotics hosted its annual product launch event on April 22, where it officially unveiled Horizon Starry®, China’s first AD-cockpit fusion agentic SoC, alongside KKClaw™, China’s first native vehicle intelligence agent operating system. They form a brand-new full-vehicle intelligent architecture that unifies intelligent driving and smart cabin functions under a single SoC.

Shortly after, at the 19th Beijing Auto Show, the two flagship new products made their public appearance, showcasing Horizon’s end-to-end full-stack vehicle intelligence portfolio — spanning integrated cockpit-driving silicon, vehicle agent OS, and mature HSD intelligent driving solutions. This launch completes Horizon’s strategic roadmap for vehicle-wide computing, making it one of the rare industry players with end-to-end capabilities spanning automotive computing, software platforms, assisted driving, and vehicle AI agents. The company now delivers the underlying computing platform and foundational infrastructure needed to advance vehicles toward unified, agent-based intelligence.

Horizon Starry® 6: Production-Ready AD-Cockpit Fusion SoC

As China’s first vehicle intelligence agent SoC integrating cockpit and driving domains, the Starry® 6 replaces separate traditional hardware stacks for intelligent driving and smart cabins with a single SoC. This reduces hardware cost and development complexity while delivering a low-latency, high-bandwidth central computing backbone with millisecond-level responsiveness for full-vehicle intelligence. It can simultaneously run cabin-based digital AI agents and large models for advanced assisted driving, enabling seamless, intuitive vehicle interactions and multiple cockpit and driving workloads on a single processing hardware.

The SoC also embeds robust automotive-grade safety mechanisms to enable efficient cross-domain collaboration between driving and cabin functions while maintaining strict functional isolation for dependable, secure operation. Its flagship variant, the Starry® 6P, is built on automotive-qualified 5nm (N5A) process technology. It integrates high-performance CPU cores delivering 500K DMIPS, a GPU with 3,000 GFLOPS, a BPU rated at 650 TOPS, plus three high-performance HiFi 5 audio DSPs. It supports up to 128 GB of automotive-grade LPDDR5X memory, delivering a peak bandwidth of 273 GB/s, and enables on-device deployment of large AI models.

Backed by Horizon’s track record of over ten million shipped Journey-series processing hardware, the Starry® 6 comes production-ready at launch. On the day of its unveiling, Horizon secured letters of intent from more than ten OEM brands and multiple global Tier 1 suppliers. Partner automakers include Volkswagen, BYD, Changan, iCAR,  BAIC and more, alongside global Tier 1 suppliers such as Bosch, Denso and other industry leaders. Tailored for a wide range of mainstream vehicle models, the integrated platform powers fully personalized vehicle intelligence experiences customized to each user’s unique preferences.

Joint Deployment of Flagship Cockpit-Driving Integration with iCAR

Unveiled alongside the Horizon Starry®, KKClaw™ stands as China’s first vehicle intelligence agent operating system. It delivers an innovative "Task-as-a-Service" intelligent interaction paradigm, capable of processing natural language commands to orchestrate driving and cockpit functions in parallel while planning and executing cross-domain workflows. The platform distinguishes itself through three core strengths: personalized characters, robust long-term memory capabilities, and broad multi-scenario functionality.

At the launch event, Dr. Yu Kai, Founder and CEO of Horizon Robotics, announced a landmark commercial partnership. iCAR will serve as the world’s first automaker to launch a production vehicle equipped with the complete integrated cockpit-driving intelligent vehicle solution pairing Starry® and KKClaw™ OS. This suite deeply integrates the domestically mass-produced end-to-end full-scene HSD intelligent driving system, marking a major advancement in the two sides’ collaboration following their foundational ADAS joint development work. The two companies will jointly define and engineer benchmark full-vehicle intelligent models, bringing flagship unified cockpit-driving experiences to the mass passenger vehicle segment and crafting exclusive in-car intelligent companions tailored to the daily mobility habits of Chinese consumers.
